Clinton Prairie Jr.-Sr. High School Recognized in U.S. News Best High School Rankings

FRANKFORT, Ind. — Clinton Prairie Jr.-Sr. High School is celebrating its inclusion in the 2026-2027 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings, earning recognition among Indiana’s high schools.

U.S. News lists Clinton Prairie Jr.-Sr. High School as No. 67 in Indiana. The rankings evaluate high schools using measures that include college readiness, state assessment performance, graduation rates and the performance of underserved students.

School officials said the recognition reflects the work of students, staff, families and the broader Clinton Prairie community.

“This recognition represents much more than rankings,” the school said in a statement. “It represents students who are working hard, teachers who are committed to excellence, families who support their children, and a school community that believes in what our students can accomplish.”

The school said the recognition carries particular meaning for a small rural district, emphasizing that its size does not reduce its academic expectations or limit opportunities for students.

“Our size does not limit our expectations — and it certainly doesn’t limit the opportunities we provide our students,” the statement said.

Clinton Prairie Jr.-Sr. High School offers students the opportunity to take Advanced Placement coursework and exams, according to its U.S. News profile.

The school thanked its teachers and staff for challenging and supporting students, as well as the families and community members who continue to support Clinton Prairie.

“This is what Gopher Great looks like,” the school said.
