Mrs. Peggy Sue Arnold, 78, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, one day before her birthday. She was born on August 23, 1947, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Lloyd D. and Mary M. (Roberts) Jolly.
On November 1, 1968, she married Melvin H. Arnold in Lebanon. Her husband of 57 years, Melvin, recently preceded her in death on August 10, 2026.
Peggy was a graduate of Thorntown High School. She worked at Kayco Manufacturing as a painter and production clerk and was a member of the National Campers and Hikers Association.
She is survived by her children, David Ford, Angela D’Angelo and Lisa (Brad) Woodard; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister, Patty L. Jolly; and sister-in-law, Cynthia Jolly.
In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by one grandchild; and two brothers, Larry and Terry Jolly.
A Celebration of Life for both Peggy and Melvin will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Arnold family home, 5955 N. Howard Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation.
