Xenia Louise Benge, 88, of Jamestown, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Crown Point Assisted Living in Lebanon. She was born on December 20, 1937, in Jamestown; a daughter of the late Dorvall D. and Edith A. (Ragsdale) Hedge.
On October 15, 1955, she married George R. Benge in Lebanon. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2022.
Louise graduated from Jamestown High School in 1955. A devoted homemaker, she took pride in caring for her home. She also worked in the kitchen at the Dairy Pharm in Jamestown.
Louise was a devoted member of Jamestown Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking and playing Euchre, but cherished spending time with her beloved family most of all.
Survivors include her children, David M. Benge, Daniel L. Benge, and Teresa (Gregory) Steelsmith all of Lebanon; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brothers, Delbert, William, and Jimmy Hedge; sister, Ethel Ross; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in death by her son, Douglas R. Benge; daughter-in-law, Terry Lynn Benge; grandson, Chad Benge; and sisters, Thelma Wheat and Majorie Henry.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Jamestown Christian Church, 900 North Lebanon Street, in Jamestown. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow services at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jamestown. Porter and Hunt Funeral Home & Crematory in Jamestown has been entrusted with her arrangements.
