Sharon Sue Nix, 82, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026. She was born in Bradenton, Florida on November 1, 1943; a daughter of the late Jim and Valda Jean (Starn) Bayless.
She graduated from Carmel High School in 1961.
On May 13, 1966, she married Jackie Lee Nix in Carmel. They shared 54 loving years together before he passed away on December 16, 2020.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lebanon. Sharon enjoyed shopping, reading, traveling, and spending time with her beloved family.
Survivors include her daughters, Laura (Pete) Vaughn, Jennifer (Kenneth) Woodruff, and Mindi Nix, all of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Tori (Justin) Moore-Allen, Thomas Vaughn, Alicia Genrich, Zachary Genrich, Brooklyn Genrich, and Evan Light; great grandchildren, Jaxon Moore, Everleigh Genrich, and Lydia Genrich; brother, Jeffery Bayless of Greenville, Ohio; and sister, Nancy Gilchrist of Mesa, Arizona.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sharon was preceded in her great granddaughter Aaliyah Genrich.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow services at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon
