Boone County Under High Wind Watch on Wednesday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a High Wind Watch from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday for portions of central, east central, north central, south central, southeast, southwest and west central Indiana, including Boone County.

Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are possible.

Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible, Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Besides Clinton, other affected areas include Owen, Decatur, Randolph, Hamilton, Daviess, Tippecanoe, Brown, Hendricks, Carroll, Clinton, Jennings, Hancock, Shelby, Fountain, Greene, Madison, Delaware, Morgan, Jackson, Vermillion, Knox, Putnam, Bartholomew, Montgomery, Clay, Tipton, Warren, Vigo, Johnson, Henry, Sullivan, Monroe, Marion, Howard, Parke, Martin, Rush and Lawrence.
