The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of central, east central, north central and west central Indiana, including Boone County, from 7 p.m. tonight until 7 a.m. Saturday.
Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions.
Precipitation is expected to begin as snow this evening. During the early overnight hours there will be a brief period of freezing rain and sleet with all rain by late tonight and tomorrow.
Besides Clinton, other affected areas will be Carroll, Clinton, Delaware, Fountain, Hamilton, Howard, Madison, Montgomery, Randolph, Tippecanoe, Tipton and Warren.
