At approximately 2:37 a.m. Monday, a Lebanon Police Department (LPD) officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on I65 at the 133- mile marker. The officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle, a 2006 Cadillac, stalled near the 140-mile marker, and a traffic stop was attempted.
The officer approached the vehicle and knocked on the closed window. The driver, Bradley Moore, 38, of Indianapolis, who is wanted in two counties for Resisting Law Enforcement, Driving While Suspended, and Theft was seen attempting to restart the vehicle. Moore did not comply with the officer’s commands; Moore started his vehicle and fled the scene. LPD officers pursued the fleeing suspect vehicle as it traveled north into Clinton County.
The suspect vehicle traveled I65 fleeing police, attempting multiple times to ram police vehicles. The suspect vehicle changed direction in a turnaround and fled southbound on I65. Again, while traveling southbound, the suspect vehicle attempted to ram pursuing vehicles.
The suspect vehicle struck both Indiana State Police (ISP)and LPD Tire deflation devices while fleeing southbound. After striking the Tire deflation devices, the suspect vehicle continued southbound on I65 with heavy damage to the tires. The suspect vehicle crashed into a median barrier while fleeing police. The suspect vehicle continued to flee after crashing into the median. The suspect vehicle struck a police vehicle near 138-mile marker before police were able to block the vehicle in.
Moore exited the suspect vehicle and fled on foot near the 139-mile marker. Moore was located and apprehended after a brief foot pursuit in the 700 block of Cox Avenue. At this time, there are no reported injuries to officers. Moore was transported to Witham Health Services to be medically cleared.
Moore’s preliminary charges are Operating While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Reckless Driving in Work Zone, Criminal Recklessness,
Resisting with a vehicle, Resisting, Leaving the scene of an accident, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Heroin, and No Insurance Prior.
