Wesley “Wes” Adam McClaine, 35, of Jamestown, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, from an automobile accident in Boone County, Indiana. He was born on July 11, 1986 in Lebanon, Indiana, a son of Sam McClaine and Patricia Phelps.
He was a 2005 graduate of Western Boone Jr. Sr. High School. Wes was a Union Laborer for #274 out of Lafayette and also did landscaping on the side. Wes had struggled with drug addiction and was on the road to turning his life around. Wes was an active member of Life’s Journey Church in Lebanon and active in their recovery program. He was also recently baptized in this church as well.
Wes was the kind of guy that always enjoyed making people laugh and would give you the shirt off his back. His smile would light up any room and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Survivors include: father, Samuel (Susie) McClaine; mother: Patricia (Shawn) Phelps; children, Julian McClaine and Khloe McClaine; siblings, Josh (Katie) McClaine, Jeremy (Andrea) McClaine, Jason (Tanya) McClaine, Amanda (Darrell) Parks, Carissa (Andrew) Carpenter, Cheyenne Phelps, girlfriend, Whitney Sherrill; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wes was preceded in death by grandparents: Thomas and Shirley Boyne, Lorris and Violet McClaine and a brother, Samuel McClaine.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. noon until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31 at the funeral home in Lebanon.
We would like all friends and family to please wear either a Philadelphia Eagles shirt or colors that represent the Eagles in honor of Wes since he was a huge Eagles fan.
