GNC Distribution Warehouse Receives Bomb Threat

At approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday, the ISP-EOD Unit arrived at the GNC Distribution Warehouse and began conducting a safety sweep. Following the sweep of the facility, the ISP-EOD Unit determined the building was clear of any explosive devices.

Just after 6 p.m.., the GNC Distribution Warehouse was released back into control of GNC management staff. WMPD detectives are actively investigating this incident in efforts and identify the suspect who called in this serious threat. At approximately 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, a bomb threat was called in to the HR Department for the GNC Distribution Warehouse (5215 Albert S. White Drive) located in Whitestown. Upon initial response by WMPD, WFD, and other surrounding agencies, evacuation of all employees was completed without incident. As a precaution, other nearby distribution warehouses were also evacuated. All GNC employees were relocated to a safe location away from the area.

Traffic is currently being diverted away from the area, and there is no threat to the surrounding public at this time. WMPD is currently awaiting arrival of the Indiana State Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit to complete a thorough safety sweep of the facility.
