The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has extended a Dense Fog Advisory from 11 a.m. until noon today for portions of central, east central, north central, southwest and west central Indiana, including Boone County.
Besides Boone, other affected areas include Carroll, Clay, Clinton, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hamilton, Hendricks, Howard, Knox, Madison, Montgomery, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren.
Visibility will be less than one quarter mile or less in dense fog and will make hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility. If driving, slow down, use your headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
