The Boone County Sheriffs Department has issued a traffic alert: SR 47 is closed both Eastbound and Westbound traffic at 250 East. Several slide offs in the area.
A Red Travel Warning means that travel is restricted to Emergency Personnel only. Refrain from ALL travel. Boone County will go to RED travel warning at 5 pm Thursday and commissioners have declared a state of emergency.
