Frankfort Mayor Sheets Releases Snow Statement

The following is a press release issued Saturday by Frankfort Mayor Judy Sheets.

Since Wednesday, the City of Frankfort saw around 12 inches of snow, high winds, and drifting roadways in a matter of days. We started meeting and preparing for this winter storm at the beginning of the week. I corresponded closely with all the City Department Heads, EMA, Clinton County Dispatch, Clinton County Commissioners, Frankfort Fire Chief, Frankfort Police Chief and Frankfort Municipal Utilities. Together we were able to work as a team to provide the best communication and preparedness possible for our community. Thank you to all our First Responders, Frankfort Street Department, City employees and Utility Employees for your dedication to our great city. You all work long hard hours and know that we appreciate everything you do. I also want to thank the citizens of Frankfort. You were patient with us as we worked to clear snow, slide-offs, road closures, etc. You followed the travel status which helped us keep with emergencies and those in need. I am blessed to be the Mayor of Frankfort and to call this wonderful place my home.
