On May 1, 1969, he was married to LaVonne M. “Bonnie” Truex in Indianapolis. She passed away on August 19, 2012.
Donald was a 1953 graduate of Cortland High School in Cortland, Indiana and had attended Purdue University. He worked for Cummins in the Plant Engineering Department for 13 years. He then worked as a sales representative for material handling and heavy equipment in Indiana. In addition, Donald was the night manager at Farris Standard Service in Lebanon.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Donald really enjoyed family get-togethers and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include nine children, Renee Truex of Lebanon, Dee Ann Stevenson of Indianapolis, Rick Truex of Indianapolis, Bryan Truex of Indianapolis, Vicky (Jeff) Geisler of Fort Wayne, Dennis (Robyn) Qurazzo of Florida, Michael Qurazzo of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Nicki Fallowfield of Plainfield, and Nancy Drinkman of Downing, Wisconsin; sixteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Bevers of Seymour.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by daughters, Cathy Truex and Stefi Mack; and a sister, Ruth Boxman.
No Services will be held.
