The Gravest Show on Earth opens on Friday the 13th with Lebanon’s Fright Forest “Cirque du So Evil.” This year’s circus-themed haunted attraction at the Boone County 4H Fairgrounds will feature a special appearance on Scareless Sunday from the world-renowned Peru Amateur Circus. The circus will perform two shows and offer mini workshops this Sunday.
Fright Forest takes place October 13-14 and October 20-21 from 7:30-11 p.m. Scareless Sunday for those easily frightened will be Sunday, October 15 from 2-6 p.m.
“Fright Forest has been an annual event for more than 25 years,” said Fright Forest Board Member Tracy Heine. “This year, we are so excited to welcome the Peru Amateur Circus – which puts on an incredible show and fits with our theme this year. I hope people stop by for the frights and the other activities we will have each date.”
To build anticipation, painted Fright Forest rocks have been hidden around Boone County and surrounding counties. If they are found in various parks, they can be posted on Facebook for two free tickets.
The handicapped-accessible Fright Forest will host a variety of special community nights including:
* October 13 – FrightDay the 13th: Ticket prices slashed to $13 for adults.
-
October 14 – Lane Beard Night: 13 percent of ticket proceeds will go to help our former volunteer Lane Beard cover medical costs.
