2021, 2022 Arrests Result In Recent Convictions Of Two Frankfort Residents

The Frankfort Police Department has released that two arrests, one in 2021 and another in 2022, resulted in recent convictions for two Frankfort residents.

On April 12, Ravinn Burchett, 29, pled guilty to dealing methamphetamine and was sentenced to 16 years of incarceration with nine years to be spend at the Indiana Department of Corrections and seven years spent on probation. The sentence is reportedly the result of a Frankfort Department Narcotics Unit arrest for dealing in September 2022.

As well, Andrew Castillo, 39, was found guilty by a jury of aggravated battery when the assault poses a substantial risk of death, and Castillo was remanded into custody by Clinton County Circuit Court Judge Bradley Mohler where he awaits sentencing. The conviction is reportedly a result of the Frankfort Police Department investigation that began on Oct. 5, 2021 where two detectives were dispatched to a fight that invovled a stabbing in the 300 Block of Park Street.

Frankfort Police Department Chief Scott Shoemaker released a statement regarding the recent convictions and the work from the department officers that led to the convictions.

“I want to thank the officers, detectives and the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office for their work on both of these cases,” Shoemaker said. “A substantial amount of work was completed by all to arrive at these convictions.”
