Lebanon Tigers Compete At Zionsville Invitational With One New Record-Setting Race

The Lebanon High School track and field team had several athletes compete at the Zionsville Invitational on Friday, April 26 with one athlete shattering the school record to keep the streak going of a record-breaking season for the Tigers.

During the invitational, sophomore Penny Lamerson shattered the school record in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:17.74, which outpaced the previous school record of 5:20.09.

Alongside Lamerson, three Lady Tigers competed at the invitational with Ciarra Hiatt securing 10th-place in pole vault, Sophie Kyker securing 13th in the 400 meter dash and Nadia Jones securing 14th in the 800 meter run.

The Tigers boys’ team had six members of the team compete during the invitational with Kaden Lark securing 1st-place in the high jump with a jump of 6′ 4″, Trey Ries securing 3rd in the 200 meter dash, Mason Crew securing 7th in discus and 8th in shot put, Daniel Richards securing 11th in the 300 meter hurdles, Francisco Luyindula securing 7th in the 400 meter dash and Tyler Meyer securing 7th in the 800 meter run.
