Earlier this year, the Frankfort Youth Baseball League set forth to raise funds to meet its $2,000 goal for the season, which was swiftly broken by the teams who managed to raise $5,880, leading to a Frankfort Youth Baseball profit of $2,940.

“I have tallied up all the fundraiser orders, and I am beyond impressed,” the organization released. “I am so unbelievably proud of all the work the kiddos, parents, guardians, etc. put into this fundraiser.”

As promised to the teams, the team that raised the most funds for the league will be awarded a pizza party celebration for their dedication and efforts. With a total of $1,330 raised, the winning team was announced as 6U Frankfort 2, who will be enjoying the pizza party.

The community is invited to participate in the first move night on the field at the Frankfort Youth Baseball diamonds at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 11 where the community can watch “Rookie of the Year” under the stars.

The movie night will be $6 per person, which includes a bag of popcorn, and the concession stand will be open.
