Superintendent Miller Resigns From Clinton Prairie; Boddicker Appointed As Interim Superintendent

Clinton Prairie Superintendent Scott Miller officially tendered his resignation that was approved by the School Board during a special meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 25, and an Interim Superintendent has been appointed following approval during the special meeting.

During the meeting, Superintendent Scott Miller had his resignation approved by the board alongside his removal from The Farmers Bank account with the corporation.

According to the minutes from the Sept. 25 special meeting, a motion to approve Miller’s resignation was started by Mr. David Larsh and was seconded by Mr. Kerk Kesler. The vote reportedly passed 3 to 0, which became a 1 to 3 vote for “nay.” According to the minutes, Mr. Adam Beck voted “nay” to the motion, and “he wants (it) known that he does not agree with this and he never agreed.”

During the same meeting, Becky Boddicker was appointed as the Interim Superintendent for the corporation while Contractor with Administrator Assistance Paul Gabriel was appointed as the Interim Treasurer. Boddicker serves as the Clinton Prairie Elementary School Principal alongside Assistant Principal Mike Boesch. Boddicker and Gabriel were added to the financial account during the special meeting as well.

According to the meeting minutes, “Mr. Larsh commented that he wishes Mr. Miller well and Mrs. Boddicker good luck in the future. Mrs. Boddicker thanked the Board for the opportunity.”

The next Clinton Prairie School Board meeting is set for Monday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m.
