The Boys Soccer State Tournament is underway, here are the results from round one.
Sectional 21 – Crawfordsville
Frankfort took the pitch last night against Twin Lakes. The Hot Dogs came out on top 3-1. Three different players netted a goal for Frankfort. Sebastian Mora, Eric Hernandez and Andres Cuadra Eugarrios all scored in the win.
The Hot Dogs will take West Lafayette after they won in the first round 9-0 against North Montgomery. The winner of that match will play the winner of Western versus Crawfordsville. Both semifinal matches are scheduled tonight, Oct. 9. Western vs. Crawfordsville will kick off at 5:30 and Frankfort vs. West Lafayette will go at 7:30.
Sectional 24 – Park Tudor
Western Boone picked up a win over Lapel 4-0 in the first round of sectional 24. They’ll take on Heritage Christian tonight at 5 p.m. for a sport in the Sectional Championship. Tri-West and Park Tudor match up on the other side of the bracket, that match will start at 7 p.m.
Sectional 38 – Taylor
Delphi and Carroll squared off in the first round of Sectional 38. The Cougars prevailed 11-0. Leading the way was senior Eli Falkenberg who netted five goals.
The host team Taylor was able to sneak by Tri-Central 3-2. Carroll and Taylor will match up in the Sectional semifinal. Rossville and Tipton will match up on the other side of the bracket. Both matches are scheduled for tomorrow, Oct. 10. Carroll and Taylor will begin at 5 p.m. and Rossville and Tipton will kickoff at 7 p.m.
