The Boys Soccer State Tournament continued with the second round on Wednesday and Thursday, here are the results.
Sectional 21 – Crawfordsville
Frankfort took on West Lafayette in the second round of Sectional 21. The Hot Dogs put up a strong fight but couldn’t pull it out, falling 5-0. Frankfort finishes the season with a 5-9-1 record. West Lafayette will take on Western in the sectional championship after Western knocked out the host school Crawfordsville 1-0.
Sectional 24 – Park Tudor
After winning their first-round matchup, Western Boone took on Heritage Christian in round two. Heritage Christan knocked out Western Boone, winning 9-0. The Stars finish the season at 2-12. Heritage Christian will face Park Tudor in the sectional championship. Park Tudor defeated Tri-West 3-1 in the semifinal.
Sectional 38 – Taylor
After falling 5-0 in a regular season matchup against Tipton, Rossville came out strong against the Blue Devils. The Hornets led at halftime 1-0. Tipton held Rossville scoreless in the second half and was able to net two goals of their own, taking the match 2-1. Rossville ends the season 2-13.
Carroll matched up with Taylor and Rossville took on Tipton in the second round of Sectional 38. Carroll defeated Taylor 2-0 with goals from Eli Falkenberg and Grayson Miller. Carroll advances to the sectional championship to take on Tipton at 7 p.m. tomorrow, Oct. 12.
