The Boone County Sheriff’s Office bid farewell to a leader, mentor and friend last week as she entered a new chapter in her life after serving as a Chaplain for numerous years in Boone County.
The Sheriff’s Office bid farewell to Senior Chaplain Joni Scott last week, noting that through her years at the department, she has become a beacon of hope, comfort and strength for the department and the community.
“Her unwavering dedication to serving others, her compassion during difficult times and her ability to bring people together will forever leave a lasting legacy,” the department released. “As you begin your next chapter, Chaplain Scott, know that your impact here has been profound, and your presence will be deeply missed.”
