Volunteer First Responders Receive Honors During Perry Twp. Fire Dept. Christmas Party & Awards Banquet

On Saturday, Dec. 14, members of the Perry Township Fire Department gathered for their annual Christmas Party and Awards Banquet, which saw numerous members be presented with awards for their outstanding service to the community.

During the banquet, Chief Mike Padgett and Deputy Chief Daniel Rose presented EMT Phil Ramsey with a service award for his continued service to the Colfax area.

“Phil is a staple within Perry Township and has served the community since long before Perry Township Fire was established and continued to serve once Colfax Volunteer Ambulance Service merged with us in 2014,” the department released.

For the annual awards, firefighter Cody Lenehan was awarded Firefighter of the Year, and Chief Padgett was awarded EMT of the Year.

A 15-year service pin was awarded to firefighter Misti Moore, a 10-year service pin was awarded to Deputy Chief Rose and a 5-year service pin was presented to EMS Lt. Bethany Isenberg.

The department stated that some other accolades were also presented on behalf of the Ladies Auxiliary.
