The Optimist Fishing Derby will be held Saturday June 3 for area youth and their families at the Frankfort Lagoons (north of Frankfort on Union Road). This is an Indiana Free Fishing Day. Indiana residents do not need a license to fish.
Registration begins at 9am with fishing till noon. Awards will be given for the BIGGEST FISH caught by youth ages 0-8, 9-13 and 14-18! All youth must be accompanied by parent or adult guardian. Bring your own fishing gear & bait – or use ours. Free light lunch served after the awards.
This free event is a joint effort of the Frankfort Optimist Club, Born to Shine Optimist Club, Frankfort Lions Club,and interested individuals.
