AREA 4, Ind. — 4-H members from eight counties competed in the 2026 Area 4-H Tractor and Mower Safety and Operator Skills Competition, demonstrating their knowledge of equipment safety, operation, and precision skills.
The competition featured junior and senior divisions in Zero Turn Radius, Lawn & Garden Tractor, and Agricultural Tractor contests. The top three individuals in each division earned the opportunity to advance and compete at the Indiana State Fair on Thursday, August 13.
Participants represented 4-H programs from Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fulton, Howard, Miami, Tipton, and Wabash counties. The event tested youth on their ability to safely operate equipment while showcasing skills that promote responsible agricultural practices.
