Beverly Jean Hood, 88, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 19, 2026. She was born on April 7, 1937, in Boone County, Indiana; a daughter of the late Leon A. and Opal A. (Mann) Wilson.
On February 24, 1956, she married Kenneth Voorhis in Lebanon and divorced. On May 21, 1981, she married Robert “Bob” Hood in Lebanon. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2023.
Beverly graduated from Brownsburg High School in 1956. She worked on the assembly line at Mallory’s, retiring after 28 years.
She enjoyed being outdoors, working in her garden, sewing, canning, and spending time with her family. Beverly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her children, Sherry (Greg) Chastain, Randy Voorhis, Serena Voorhis, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Beverly was preceded in death by stepson, Larry Hood; infant sister; and her brothers, William Wilson and Bobby Bales.
Funeral Services are planned for 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Brownsburg, Indiana.
Memorials may be directed in her memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
