Billy L. Davis, 72, of Russiaville, formerly of Frankfort, passed peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Lord, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at his residence. He was born March 22, 1952, in Middlesboro, Kentucky to William and Dorothy Marie (Daniel) Davis.
Billy attended Frankfort schools. He worked in bridge construction with Labor International Union Local #274. He also worked with Michael Construction, Reith Riley Construction, and Crews Roofing. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and playing multiple instruments including harmonica and guitar, especially with his father. He was an avid lover of music, especially blue grass. He was a lover of animals, especially his dogs. Billy was a hardworking man’s man, a wonderful father and grandfather, willing to help anyone at any time. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, sharing jokes, telling stories, and making memories with his grandkids.
Along with his mother, Billy is survived by his children, Tracy Davis, Eddie (Kathy) Davis, Devin (Amber) Peppers, Desiree Norwood, and Star (Jarrod) Shelton; brothers, Ray (Desiree) Davis and Mark Davis; sisters, Patricia (Terry) Laughner, Phyllis (Ronnie) Laughner, Lorraine (Jeff) Allen, and Angel (Pete) Webb; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and companion Brenda Hasty.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Randy Davis.
Visitation will be held, Monday, June 10, 2024, from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Pastor Ron Masters will officiate.
