Frankfort Water Works has announced the following boil water advisory below issued on Monday will remain in effect through Tuesday and late Wednesday pending sample results.
On Monday, the contractor for State Road 28 damaged a 6” water main. During the process of shutting down the broken water main two water valves were also damaged. One of those valves was replaced Monday, and the other valve will be replaced Tuesday. Customers will again be without water Tuesday for 3-4 hours. Once samples results are completed on Wednesday afternoon, affected customers will be notified.
The Frankfort Water Works (5212003) issued a boil water advisory for water valve replacement, due to contractor. Affected customers were notified to boil water for drinking, cooking and/or oral hygiene purposes. Sample analysis is being conducted at the Frankfort laboratory M-12-01 using Colilert-24 media.
