The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Administration Division will be closed on Friday, March 31. They will reopen at the Boone County 4-H Fair Grounds on April 3, at 8 a.m. Regular business can be completed at the Boone County Sheriff’s Office until the close of business day on March 30. This closure is due to the jail expansion for the Boone County Justice Center.
On April 3, the Boone County Jail Lobby will be closed to the public and the following operations will be moved to the Boone County 4-H Fair Grounds until further notice:
• Sex Offender Verifications
• Local Background Checks
• Print Documentation
The kiosk used to monetarily assist inmates (Keefe Kiosk) will be located at the Boone County Courthouse at 112 Courthouse Square, Lebanon.
The prescription medication disposal box will not be accessible during the construction phase, however, Lebanon Police Department, Zionsville Police Department, and the Boone County Health Department will be the point of disposal.

Prepare for Upcoming Changes to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Operations
The Boone County Commissioners are beginning to facilitate the jail expansion for the Justice Center which means changes to the daily operations of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office will be taking place as well. By April 3, most of the Administrative Divisions will be housed at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds. Divisions that will be affected by this move will be Administration, Corrections, and Investigations. The timeline for the move to the new location will be fluid and more information about access to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Operations will be provided as the project continues.
Please monitor the Boone County Sheriff’s Office website for upcoming announcements. As a reminder, there will not be a numeric address for this move, however; signage and posted directions will be provided to the public in the coming weeks.
