Boone County Sheriff’s Office Bids Farewell To Long-Time Chaplain

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office announced the heartfelt and bittersweet departure of a long-term Chaplain for the department who dedicated her time to furthering the mission of the Sheriff’s Office within the Boone County Jail.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office announced today, Tuesday, July 2 that a heartfelt farewell was bid to Chaplain Kim Orr following her dedicated 12 years of service for the community, the deputies and the inmates of the jail.

“Chaplain Orr has been a pillar of support, compassion and guidance for our community and the department,” Sheriff Tony Harris released. “We thank her for her unwavering commitment and the positive impact she has made over the years.”

Orr announced that her decision to the leave the department remained as a bittersweet choice as she heads toward retirement.
