The Boone County Sheriff’s Office has reported that the issue announced by Verizon that community members may have difficulty reaching 911 has been resolved.
“Previously reported Verizon issue has been resolved,” the Sheriff’s Office released. “Please contact Verizon Wireless if you still experience difficulties with 911 services.”
The issue was reportedly resolved around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office has announced that residents with Verizon Wireless as a carrier may experience issues connecting to law enforcement with 911 and should contact the Sheriff’s Office directly in the instance where a call does not go through to Dispatch.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office stated Monday afternoon on April 22 that Verizon has identified an issue that may affect 911 calls currently, and community members unable to connect to dispatch by calling 911 should contact the Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number at 765-482-1412 and select option 4.
