The Boone County Solid Waste Management District released further information regarding household items that may be recycled with a direct focus on hearing aids that may be disposed for reuse or recycling rather than thrown away.
The district stated that hearing aids may be disposed of at the District Office, Boone County Senior Services, Inc., Great Lakes Ace Hardware, Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library, Lebanon Public Library, Norman and Miller Eyecare, Walmart, Witham Hospital or Zionsville Town Hall. Hearing aids may be placed inside the Lion’s Club Collection Boxes at the locations to allow them to continue their journey of reuse or recycling.
