Boone County Under Wind Advisory Until 1 A.M. Thursday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Advisory for portions of north central and west central Indiana, including Boone County, from 1 p.m. Wednesday through 1 a.m. Thursday.

South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph are expected.

Besides Clinton, other affected areas are Carroll, Clay, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Knox, Montgomery, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Sullivan, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren counties.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
