Boone County Under Winter Weather Advisory Until 1 P.M. Monday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of central, east central, north and west central Indiana, including Boone County, until 1 p.m. Monday.

Besides Boone County, other affected areas are Bartholomew, Brown, Clay, Decatur, Fountain, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Johnson, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Rush, Shelby, Vermillion and Vigo. It also includes the cities of Attica, Bloomington, Brazil, Brownsburg, Carmel, Clay City, Clinton, Columbus, Covington, Crawfordsville, Cumberland, Danville, Fishers, Franklin, Greencastle, Greenfield, Greenwood, Greensburg, Indianapolis, Lebanon, Martinsville, Mooresville, Nashville, New Castle, Newport, Noblesville, Plainfield, Rockville, Rushville, Shelbyville, Spencer, Terre Haute, Veedersburg and Zionsville

Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of one tenth to two tenths of an inch. Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling.
