The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of central, east central and west central Indiana, including Boone County, from 1 p.m. Wednesday until 1 p.m. Thursday.
A total snow accumulation of 2 to 5 inches is expected. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. The highest amounts are likely to be north of Indianapolis with a sharp cutoff somewhere along the Interstate 70 corridor.
Besides Boone, affected areas include Carroll, Clinton, Delaware, Fountain, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Tippecanoe Tipton, Vermillion and Warren.
