The Indiana High School Athletic Association announced the pairings for the boys’ state tournament Sunday in Indianapolis. Sectional games are scheduled to begin Tuesday, February 27, and through Saturday, March 2, with regionals on Saturday, March 9.
For the second straight year, the regional is a single-game championship, and the semi-state a two-game affair with the winner advancing to the state championship game.
The four state championship games that make up the State Finals will be played in Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday, March 30. That date is a week later than normally scheduled due to Gainbridge Fieldhouse hosting the NCAA Men’s First and Second Round Tournament games.
A total of 403 schools are entered in the tournament, including 100 4A teams, 104 3A teams, 99 2A teams and 100 1A teams.
