Brenda J. Stowers, 77, of Frankfort, passed away on April 2, 2025 at her home. She was born July 5, 1947 in Portland, Tennessee to Bill & Terrice (Lillard) Stewart. Her first marriage was to Curtis Wheet. She then married Harold W. Stowers on February 27, 1970 in Gallatin, TN and he preceded her in death on June 2, 2013.
Brenda attended Westmoreland High School and grew up in Sumner County, TN. She moved to Frankfort in 1968. She had worked at Mallory’s for 14 years and was secretary for Stowers Trucking.
Brenda is survived by her son, Scott D. (Leslie) Wheet of Fishers, grandchildren, Rachel Jones, James (Rachel) Wheet, step grandchildren, Christopher (Megan) Rogers and Trevor (Claire) Rogers, sister, Faye O’Neal of Gallatin, TN, brother, Jerry (Debbie) Stewart of Frankfort, 3 great grandchildren, Rebekah, Jacob and Victoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, James, Delano, Sterling and Billie Stewart.
Our loss is Heaven’s gain, my mother was my leader and my best friend. She is gone from our daily lives, but lives forever in our hearts. Bye for now Mom and Gran.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Additional visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday, April 7th followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Clinton County Mausoleum at Green Lawn Cemetery.
