Brian grew up in Portage, Indiana, where he was actively involved in sports both through organized teams and countless neighborhood games. His love of sports continued throughout his life; he was an avid fan who enjoyed following teams, talking stats, and sharing in the excitement of the game with others, especially when it came to his beloved Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He was also a devoted supporter of Indiana Hoosiers football and was absolutely thrilled to see them win a national championship. Brian was also a true tech enthusiast and gearhead, always keeping up with the latest technology and enjoying anything related to gadgets and innovation.
He was a dedicated student who excelled academically, graduating in the top ten of his class in 1991. He went on to attend Indiana University in Bloomington, where he majored in accounting. Following graduation, Brian began his career with Marathon Oil in Findlay, Ohio, before transferring to Houston, Texas, where he worked for 30 years before moving on to employment with Integrity Assurance Group, LLC, in Alabama.
Brian will be remembered most for his generosity, kindness, and steady presence in the lives of those who knew him. He had a quiet way of showing up for others, offering support, sharing laughter, and making those around him feel valued and cared for. His warmth and selflessness left a lasting impact on family, friends, and colleagues alike.
Brian is survived by his mother, Linda Medley; his brother, Aaron Medley (Rebecca); two nephews, Mitchell and Ethan; and three nieces, Kayleigh, Skylar, and Hannah.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jon Mark Medley, and his brother, Jeff Medley.
