Sheridan football coach Bud Wright was reinstated as head coach following a one-game suspension.
Wright, the state’s all-time winningest coach, was placed on administrative leave before the Clinton Central vs Sheridan football game on Sep. 13, while the program underwent a review.
The school announced that Wright would remain the head coach, but two associate coaches would also be appointed.
The associate coaches were announced as Kevin Wright, Bud Wright’s son, and Jake Chesney.
Wright, who is 83, missed the first game of the season after undergoing surgery on a broken arm suffered during a collision on the sideline in a preseason game against Crawfordsville. He will be on the sidelines this week as Sheridan travels to take on Clinton Prairie.
Sheridan enters the contest 2-2, while Clinton Prairie enters at 3-1. Both teams are 2-0 in Hoosier Heartland Conference Play.
