The Burlington Fall Festival is set to kick off today, Friday, Oct. 4 and continue through Sunday, Oct. 6 with live music, bingo, food including Dan’s Fish Fry and community-favorite fall festivities at 425 E. 5th St. in Burlington.
The fall festivities will begin today, Friday, Oct. 4 with The Mark Redding Memorial Tractor Show at the Burlington Fall Festival. The show will continue through Sunday, Oct. 6 with participation in the Saturday parade and a tractor drive. Home made ice cream will be available at the show courtesy of the Carroll County Antique Tractor and Machinery Club. All tractor makes and brands are welcome at the show at Burlington Community Park. The Saturday events will kick off with the Burlington Fall Festival Parade with registration set from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. outside at the Brethren Church on 8th Street. The parade is scheduled to start at 1:15 p.m., and no registration fee is required.
The coveted Dan’s Fish Fry will be present at the festival from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 5. Meals are $15 or %10 for children 12-years-old and under.
The festival rounds out with a car show on Sunday, Oct. 6 at Burlington Community Park. Registration will extend from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with awards being presented at 3 p.m. for “Best of Show – Car,” “Best of Show – Truck,” “Queen’s Choice,” “Marshal’s Choice” and additional awards including Imports. The entry fee for the car show will be $15. The car show will boast door prizes, a 50-50 drawing, music, food and the judged show. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 100 entries.
