Carol J. Dupler, 89, of Frankfort, passed May 24, 2025 at Wesley Manor. She was born May 23, 1936 in Chicago Heights, IL to James C. & E. Claire (McCormick) Gaffney. She married Lee F. Dupler on December 29, 1955 at the First Christian Church in Frankfort and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2024.
Carol was a 1954 graduate of Frankfort High School. She attended Butler University where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. In 1979 she received her BA degree in History from Purdue University. She also had a Graduate Degree in Public Administration from IUPUI.
Carol was active in the community, including; Tri Kappa Sorority, Literary Club, Partners in Progress, Frankfort Middle School Building Corporation, Open Door Clinic, Pink Ladies and Meals on Wheels. She was a member and active in the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church and was a past Sunday school teacher and Deacon.
Carol is survived by children, Laura A. (John) Neeb of Greenfield, Diane C. (Javier) Gonzalez of Richlands, NC, Jeanne L. (Shane) McMains of Cumming, GA, James F. (Elaine D.) Dupler of Zionsville, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Fred Carter of Frankfort, nieces, Cindy (Ron) Chambers and Debbie (Jim) King, both of Frankfort.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, James Charles D. Dupler on October 20, 2016 and a sister, Marilyn C. “Mitzi” Carter.
Visitation will be 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 30th at the funeral home. Reverend Kelly Kurth will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 352 W.
