Mrs. Carolyn G. Johnson, 84, passed away at Essex Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon, Indiana, on Friday, June 16, 2023. She was born March 27, 1939, in Hendricks County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Homer Alfred and Nellie Opal (Berry) Walls.
She was first united in marriage to Oliver Williams he passed away in May of 1978. Then on October 24, 1987, she was married to Leonard D. Johnson, Jr. he passed away September 15, 2013.
Raised in Hendricks County, she graduated from Pittsboro High School. After moving to Lebanon, Carolyn had worked for a period of time at the Pixie Playhouse. She was a member of the Lebanon Church of Christ.
Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved taking care of her family and home. She was gifted at crocheting and enjoyed making afghans for Riley Children’s Hospital.
Survivors include four children, Brent E. (Donna) Williams, Brenda C. Melvin, Daniel A. Williams, and Diana L. Stultz all of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husbands, Carolyn was preceded in death by brothers, Billie Walls and Thomas Max Walls; and a son-in-law, John Stultz.
Funeral Services are planned for Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana with Steve Jaggers officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at K of P Cemetery in Lizton, Indiana.
