The countdown is on for the 2026 Carroll County 4-H Fair, as organizers have released a full schedule of events for the week-long celebration, running Saturday, July 11, through Saturday, July 18, at the Carroll County 4-H Fairgrounds.
This year’s fair theme, “The Sweet Life,” promises a week packed with livestock shows, 4-H exhibits, motorsports, live entertainment, contests, carnival rides, community events and plenty of family-friendly activities.
The fair kicks off Saturday, July 11, with livestock activities beginning at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Queen Contest at 7 p.m. in the Show Arena.
Sunday features the Community Church Service, the annual Parade at 3 p.m., the Community Show at 3 p.m., and carnival rides beginning at 5 p.m.
Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy a variety of livestock shows including dairy, beef, horse, swine, sheep, goat and poultry events. Popular attractions returning this year include the Dunk Tank, carnival rides each evening, tractor pulls, demolition derby, truck and scale tractor pull, lawn mower races, BMX stunt show, pony show and the popular Barn Olympics.
The fair concludes on Saturday, July 18, with the 4-H Livestock Auction beginning at 6 p.m., following the Buyers Dinner.
Junior Leaders Food Stand
The Carroll County Junior Leaders will once again operate their food stand throughout the week. In addition to serving breakfast Monday through Thursday from 6-9 a.m., the stand will be open:
- Saturday, July 11: 5 p.m. until close
- Sunday: 4-9 p.m.
- Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
- Saturday, July 18: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
Special food events during the week include Pork Burger Day, Grilled Tenderloin Day, Hot Dog Day and Cold Drink Day. Proceeds from the Junior Leaders Stand help support Carroll County 4-H youth programs.
Stock the Trailer
The Carroll County Junior Leaders are also encouraging fairgoers to participate in the annual “Stock the Trailer” food drive. Visitors are asked to donate non-perishable food items to help local families in need. Donations collected during the fair stay within Carroll County.
