Carroll County Emergency Management announced that as of 11:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 18, a burn ban will be in effect until further notice.
The department stated that the burn ban is expected to be in place for 30 days, but the crews will continue to monitor the weather and adjust the ban if necessary.
The burn ban will be a county-wide ban for Carroll County, and community members have been requested to refrain from any outdoor burning during the 30-day period to ensure the safety of the community as temperatures continue to heat up for the weekend.
