Members of the Carroll FFA Chapter excelled in the Area Skillathon last week with high placements for the senior and junior divisions.
The chapter saw 25 members participate in the Area Skillathon with multiple teams and individuals advancing to state the two divisions. For the seniors, the team of Emily Justice, Ashton Schroder, Kolby Butcher and Olivia Schroder secured 4th-place in the Area VIII Livestock Skillathon Contest and will advance to State. Individually, Emily Justice placed 8th, Kennedy Shuler placed 12th, Ashton Schroder placed 16th and Kolby Butcher placed 18th.
In the junior division, the Carroll team placed second and will advance to state as well. Individually, Colton Lanum placed 3rd, Brody Silverthorn placed 12th and Ella Overholser placed 13th.
