Cecilia Bea Crockett

Cecilia Bea Crockett, “Beaver,” 5 1/2, passed away peacefully in her home on July 19, 2023, from Pineoblastoma, a rare brain tumor. She was born in Lafayette, Indiana on November 16, 2017, to Benjamin David and Allison Briggs Crockett, and has lived on their family farm in Thorntown, Indiana for the entirety of her life.

Cecilia loved being at home and with her family. She was the fifth of six children and was everyone’s little sweetheart. She loved being on the farm, Sunday walks, visiting family, swimming, and running.

Cecilia was much-loved by the members of her church community, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a sweet, simple testimony that Jesus loves her and would take care of her.

All who knew her will keenly feel the loss of Cecilia. She will be remembered for her love of family, friends, and Jesus, her playfulness, sweetness, silliness, and smile, and also her determination, courage, child-like submissiveness and hard-fought battle with cancer. We will all miss our little Beaver so much.

Cecilia is survived by her parents, five siblings, Adele, Alex, Caleb, Esther, and Bridget Crockett, her great-grandfather Gayle Evans (Enterprise, UT), grandparents Mark and Christine Briggs (Bountiful, UT) and David and Debora Crockett (Hansen, ID), all her aunts and uncles, and a host of loving cousins.

A viewing will precede the funeral at 9:00am on Friday the 28th of July at the Indianapolis North Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 11257 Temple Drive, Carmel, Indiana. The funeral will be at the same location at 11:00am and will also be broadcast live at this link:
