The Friends of the Humane Society for Boone County have announced the upcoming Clear the Shelters event set for Saturday, Aug. 24 for community members to meet the residents of the Humane Society and participate in family-friendly activities.
The organization announced that this Saturday, Aug. 24 will see the Clear the Shelters event take off from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Petco at 6298 Mills Dr. Suite 300 in Whitestown.
The event will allow for community members to meet the adoptable felines and canines at the Humane Society who are eager to find loving homes. During the event, donations will also be accepted for the Humane Society for Boone County.
Attendees will also be treated to family-friendly games during the event.
Clear the Shelters is a national campaign that encourages people to adopt from their local shelters in an effort to clear the shelters.
