Clinton County Sheriff’s Office Merit Board Approves Three Promotions

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Merit Board approved three promotions within the department Wednesday night.

The board approved the promotion of Sgt. Tom Farlow from the rank of Lieutenant to serve as Patrol Lieutenant, Deputy Jared Yoder from the rank of Sergeant to serve as Patrol Sergeant and Deputy Nicholas Light from the rank of Sergeant to serve as Patrol Sergeant.

Board members John Wright, President, Jannine Rule, Secretary, Mike Boesch, Brad Smith and Mark Palmer approved the promotions on Wednesday night to promote the three men to patrol duties grounded in leadership.

Amidst the promotions, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office also saw Maintenance Supervisor Terry Richey move on into retirement.

“Terry has been an invaluable part of our team for many years,” the department released. “We will greatly miss him. Enjoy your retirement Terry. You have definitely earned it. Don’t forget to stop in and see us again from time to time.”
