Located at the corner of Main and Washington Streets in downtown Frankfort, the new three-story, 41,925-square-foot facility replaces the old Regions Bank building and now houses several county departments under one roof.

County Council President Alan Dunn echoed Brewer’s remarks. “From the financial side, we worked hard to ensure this project was both responsible and forward-thinking,” Dunn says. “This building isn’t just about today—it’s about providing a strong foundation for how the county will serve residents for decades to come.”
The Annex houses the offices of the County Commissioners and Council, Auditor, Treasurer, Recorder, Assessor, Surveyor, Veterans’ Service Officer, Area Plan Commission, and temporary space for the Superior Court, Circuit Court, Prosecutor, and Clerk while renovations on the Historic Courthouse take place.
Light refreshments will be served, and members of the public are encouraged to attend. Washington Street will be closed the morning of the event, but parking will be available in the lot behind the Annex building.
