Community Rallies To Support Boone County Teenager Following Bicycle & Car Collision Monday Afternoon

The community has rallied around a Boone County family after a 16-year-old underwent emergency brain surgery following a bicycle and car collision yesterday.

On Monday, Nov. 25 just before 6:45 p.m., Lebanon Fire Department and Lebanon Police Department first responders were dispatched to the area of Camp Street and Lafayette Avenue in Lebanon for a bicycle and car collision.

On arrival, officers observed Kamden Davidson, 16, of Lebanon lying in the roadway appearing to have a seizure, authorities report. Crews transported Davidson to a nearby hospital where he underwent emergency surgery to stop the bleeding in his brain. Davidson’s condition is still reportedly unknown, and reports state that an estimated time for him to wake up is also unknown.

Davidson’s family stated that a long road of recovery and rehabilitation is expected for him, and the family asked for community support and donations for gas, food and care for Davidson. Community members have bound together to support the family’s Go Fund Me campaign by raising $1,525, exceeding the $1,000 goal, with 33 donors as of 12 p.m. on Nov. 26.
