
Corrie, who was the only person that ran for the position that became available when Jake Myers announced his resignation effective December 31. Corrie starts off with a brand new four-year term.
“It’s just something that I have enjoyed when I was on the city council,” said Corrie. “The opportunity came up and I thought I would go for it and see what happens. I’m excited no matter what.”
Clinton County Republican Chairman Jim Moyer said having only one candidate is a rarity.
“We were able to get it done quickly because only had one candidate,” said Moyer. “I think even if we’d have more candidates, Todd would have probably been selected anyway.”
